Site description: 1336 The Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, an independent, community-based, non-profit organization, has provided compassionate care to thousands of patients and families throughout Central New Jersey for over 30 years. Through our dedicated nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers, the Center provides unsurpassed care regardless of race, religion, language, or ability to pay. Over the last year, the Center was able to provide approximately $2.9 million dollars in charitable care to members of community in need. The Center offers its hospice and palliative services wherever a patient may reside, including: private homes; other assisted living facilities; and our two unique facilities located in Scotch Plains and Elizabeth, New Jersey. Our two state-of-the-art, free standing residences offer medically fragile individuals a truly home-like setting combined with a professional and attentive staff. At both Peggy's House (Scotch Plains) and Father Hudson House (Elizabeth), residents have their own private room with an en-suite bath. Our kitchen staff cooks meals to order allowing each resident to customize their own menu. Expert staff, including Registered Nurses and Certified Home Health Aides, are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our residents can enjoy their privacy without ever having to be alone.
