Site description: 520 False Creek Ferries has been operating passenger ferry service, and sightseeing tours in False Creek since 1982. Starting with two electric ferries running between Granville Island and the North Shore, the idea of water-borne transit in the Creek slowly, but surely, became accepted. Twenty-five years and over 11 million passengers later, the “little blue ferries” are firmly established as an integral part of public transit in Vancouver, offering a unique perspective on one of the most vibrant areas of the city.
