BIJOUMONTRE was founded in 2004 by Willi Saladin and Volker Fink – two ardent watch connoisseurs who shared a wealth of experience in watchmaking. Founder Willi Saladin had 50 years of experience in Swiss horology industry and served the watch movement manufacturer ETA Swiss as the General Manager of the Far East region. He also had almost 30 years of working experience with Swatch Group, dedicating most of his career to the Swiss horology industry. The German heritage of Willi Saladin enabled him to perfectly integrate his pragmatic gift in mechanics with the precision watchmaking craftsmanship of Switzerland – BIJOUMONTRE was born as a result. Volker Fink, co-founder of the brand, came from a family with three generations and more than 80 years of watchmaking excellence. After inheriting his family business, the watchmaking factory Zeittechnikfink, Fink had committed to inject new life into the Swiss horology industry and created the BIJOUMONTRE brand.
