The Long Island Turtle Rescue is a small local rescue for turtles and tortoises, however any turtle or tortoise needing a home from anywhere in the states will never be turned away. We will do our best to place any turtle or tortoise which can no longer be kept for whatever reason. Many people buy a turtle or tortoise and know very little about their care and don’t realize how large or how long turtles and tortoises can live with proper care. Others just find they can no longer care for their turtle or tortoise and just want to find it a good home. Whichever the case, we hope to help find good homes for those that need them. Whether you need to find a home for your turtle or tortoise or would like to adopt a turtle or tortoise just let us know and we’ll do our best to help.

Great Dane Dog Rescue for North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia

Our organization provides dogs for adoption and are dedicated to educating the public on the breeds we rescue. We participate in both public and private events; educate school children and the general public. We are a non-profit organization that is run solely on donations and all of our “employees” are unpaid volunteers. We do this because we love these wonderful creatures and we want to place as many as we can into their forever homes.

Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is an effort grounded in love, dedication and determination. The dream of establishing this rescue started back in 2000 when a very special dog, Coco, passed away unexpectedly at age 5. The loss inspired Coco’s owner, 12 year-old Ashley, to save other canine friends in his name. Ashley and Coco had been the best of friends and it is in his name that this endeavor lives on…. In late 2009, the dream started to become a reality. Now a nonprofit organization, CHDR is 501 (c)3 status. State of Wisconsin licensed and inspected: 400340-DS. The goal of the rescue is to have a facility to house 20 dogs at a time, foster home placement, provide preventative and medical care, basic grooming needs, microchip and a warm and welcoming shelter until a forever placement is secured. CHDR depends on private donations to function and rescue friends in need.
