The Space Cookies are FIRST Robotics and VEX Robotics teams of girls from schools across the Bay Area working in partnership with NASA Ames Research Center and the Girl Scouts of Northern California. High school and middle school girls, grades 7-12, are encouraged to join the team. Greetings! My name is Mingda and I am a third-year student studying User Experience Design and Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Michigan School of Information. This past summer, I worked as a UX/UI Designer at NASA Ames Research Center with 4 interns to design a web application that visualizes the impact of climate change on agriculture. The app was awarded first place in the NASA Europa Challenge in Helsinki, Finland, and the app is currently being used by non-profit organizations as a platform to bring awareness to climate change.
