Introducing the winners of the Cal South state cup, Real So Cal’s very own Girls Under 9 North Ranch White team! Coach Tim Ward spoke about the journey. “The journey started back in January 2015 with our first state cup appearance. The girls were playing up a year, thus the challenge was a little above what they were capable of. However I truly feel that experience helped the girls coming into this years state cup. Since then the girls have given so much to their development. The focus and desire they have brought to every training session this year has been the key to their success.”

OVERLAND PARK, KS. (Feb. 22, 2017) – 21 teams where crowned as National Champions at the 2017 U.S. Youth Futsal National Championships. The tournament was held February 17 - 20, 2017 at the New Century Fieldhouse and Roeland Park Sports Dome. 147 highly competitive teams faught for the national titles but there could only be one champion in each of the 21 divisions. The ages range from U9 - U19 (Boys and Girls).Over 19 States and 2 Countres represented. Teams from the Great Lakes and the Midwest Region were the big winners.Each year, the level of competition has been getting stronger. Better footskils, better ball movement and more excitement. We are seeing more Futsal Academy teams as well.The tournament which is in it's 11th year is the largest National Youth Futsal Tournament affiliated with US Soccer. The tournament was officiated by 70 US Soccer Futsal Certified Referees. The referees are under the leadership of Ed Marco, who serves as the FIFA Futsal Instructor and U.S. Youth Futsal Referee Coordinator and Trainer. In addition to Marco, FIFA Futsal Referees Shane Butler, Lance VanHaitsma and Sergio Cabrera were also present.Congratulations to all the Winners and Finalist.
