Established by statute in 1974, The Law Foundation of Ontario is the sole foundation in Ontario with the unique mandate of increasing access to justice. The Foundation helps Ontarians to understand the law and use it to improve their lives. Interest earned on lawyers’ and paralegals’ mixed trust accounts held in Ontario is put to use to benefit the public interest by funding legal aid, legal education, law libraries and legal research.
