I started my professional photographic journey as a videographer at CNN and then at C-SPAN in the early days of the cable industry. These clips lasted from between :10 to :30 minutes and I edited them in away that would include many, many of our national treasures. I picked up on film in 1967 when I bought an inexpensive plastic 35mm/125speed film camera for a Cub Scout activity. Fast Forward in 1984 my purchase through JC Penny's of a Canon AE-1 35mm and I never looked back and now I have a Canon Rebel Xti EOS. Very simple stuff actually. I take into consideration the following when I shoot. (1) time of day (2) composition (3) weather conditions (4) Physical position And another consideration now that digital is for many the go to medium...take a lot of shots. However, It's still an organic learning experience as I am discovering the beauty of our planet almost daily through my travels in Northern California and beyond.
