Bob Evans Bio Bob comes from a background of, perhaps one of the most creative professions, engineering. Some may think that this is not such an obvious background for an artist, however, all good engineers know that creating something from nothing gives you tremendous creative rush and oft times you find that the best engineers are frequently very accomplished musicians, artists and in my case, photographers.. Landscape Photography of Bob Evans A late comer to art photography Bob spent his early career working in engineering designing lifesciences equipment and then latterly moving into general management. During this time he and his family have lived in England, Florida, New York and latterly in Massachusetts. Bob travels frequently on business and always takes a camera with him as you never know what that perfect image will appear. During this time he had a very active interest in photography, probably coming from his father who is also an accomplished photographer. Over the years as he honed his expertise he found that what could best be loosely described as ‘landscape’ was his metier. Particularly in the abstraction from reality of key elements helped by almost exclusive use of black and white. Influences Early influences were Fay Godwin, a very accomplished english landscape photographer, sadly no longer with us. Her work evokes a deep empathy with the land and her keen eye and technical skill inspired him greatly. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fay_Godwin). Ansel Adams whose images of Yosemite and the American West together with the deep technical knowledge and skill in producing the finished print and treating the entire process as a pre-visualised expression was particularly welcome. Bill Brandt and Weegee, where the technical element was secondary to the image and the emotions evoked by them. Similarly with Cartier Bresson and his ‘decisive moment’, although Bob has never particularly focused on people photographs, on the occasions he has you can most defiantly see there influences, as shown in the 'people' gallery. Photo’s by Bob Evans Building on that creative engineering background Bob continued to hone his his technical skill and artistic eye. An early Nikon fan, Bob’s first ‘proper’ camera was an Nikon FM, an excellent manual workhorse that was used extensively. Over the years Bob has used many other cameras. For those ‘decisive moment’ shots he always carried a Minox 35GT, usually loaded with Ilford HP5. For his main camera he rapidly moved beyond 35mm and whilst he was using film his preferred outfit was a Bronica ETRS and then moved to a Mamiya RB67 and a home made 5x4. All of his darkroom work was done at home with a full setup for black and white and colour and many happy hours spent in the darkroom. Ilford was the brand of choice for monochrome work usually FP4 for larger formats and HP5 for 35mm both developed in ID11. This background in the craft of photography certainly helped in the transition to digital and he now spends more time in front of the computer then he ever did in the darkroom! he now uses Nikon systems exclusively, keeping an old D100 for Infra Red images, which have always been an interest to him. Perhaps this is driven by the abstraction from reality aspect of Bobs work which is so prevalent in his work. Having an eye for an image that would tell a story Bob has a key guideline that he rigorously applies, no manipulation of the subject is allowed. Bob strongly believes in taking the subject ‘as-is’ no posing of subjects, moving items etc. He greatly admires photographers who are expert in that technique, however, for himself it is capturing the essential essence of the subject matter that is vital to him. Bob has had his work published in the national press in England covering news events as well as having several shows in both the UK and in New York and has recently decided to move onto the web. He is a keen member of the Blackstone Valley Art Association and Arts Worcester and as well as photography he is also a keen sculptor and abstract painter as shown in the art gallery.

ونتواصى به. لكل ذلك رأينا أن يكون المؤتمر اسماً وعنواناً لنا يشير إلى منهجنا الفكري وخطنا السياسي، وأن يكون الوطن مجالاً لهذا المؤتمر وفي ذلك إشارة لأصالة المنشأ، فوطننا بأبعاده الجغرافية ورسوخ ذاته المعنوية التي تتمثل في مكتسباته الحضارية والثقافية كل ذلك يشير إلى أن المؤتمر الوطني كياننا الجامع، ليس أسيراً لمعتقدات تاريخية جامدة، وإنما هو فكر ووعي متطور، يتجدد أبداً، وحركة دؤوبة لبناء مجتمع الفضيلة والتسامح ومنهج شوري أصيل، للتسديد والمقاربة بين العصر والأصل والحياة والشرع والفكر والمعتقد السياسي والأخلاق والممارسة الواعية، فهو الوعاء الجامع لأهل السودان لا لعصبية حزبية أو قبلية ضيقة أو جهوية مجتزءة، إنما دعوة شاملة لكل أبعاد الحياة ولذلك آل على نفسه أن يقود البلاد فاتحاً أبوابه على مصاريعها لمن أراد أن يدخل في السلم ويخوض معركة البناء الوطني، وماداً جسور التواصل مع الآخرين حواراً بالحسنى وقولاً معروفاً للوصول إلى وفاق واجماع شامل على قضايا الوطن الكبرى. نحن نفتح أبوابنا للعالم أخذاً وعطاءاً بوعي وحذر دون تفريط في مبادئنا ومصالحنا، وننظر إلى العولمة باعتبارها ضرورة حضارية جاءت في سياق التطور التكنولوجي في مجال ثورة الاتصالات والإعلام، لذلك رأينا بغرض التعريف بالمؤتمر الوطني من خلال موقعه على شبكة المعلومات الدولية أن نعلنه كياناً سياسياً اجتماعياً ثقافياً جامعاً، وأن نلقي بعض الضوء على جملة الرؤى والأفكار التي تصدر عن قاعدة مشتركة بين عضويته وتمثل أساساً لبنيانه الذي يقوم على مقومات الثقافة السودانية بتنوعها الديني والاجتماعي وجيناتها الوراثية التي تحملها الأجيال مما جعلت من المؤتمر الوطني أكثر قدرة على التطور والتعاطي مع الواقع معاشاً ومعاداًيطيب لي في البداية أن أرحب بكم وأنتم تتصفحون موقع المؤتمر الوطني بولاية الخرطوم علي الشبكة الدولية للانترنت، والذي نقدمه باعتباره واحدا من أهم المواقع الالكترونية للفعاليات السياسية والحزبية بالبلاد . أن المؤتمر الوطني يفتح ذراعيه لكل المواطنين للانضمام إليه علي قاعدة المواطنة والهوية السودانية والمساواة الكاملة في الحقوق والواجبات في إطار من الانتماء الحضاري بما يؤدي لتحقيق الوحدة الوطنية والتماسك الاجتماعي ويدفع بمسيرة السلام والتنمية في ربوع البلاد المختلفة دون تهميش أو اقصاء أو تمييز ، مما يؤدي للحفاظ علي وحدة التراب السوداني وتحقيق نهضته وتقدمه . والمؤتمر الوطني وهو يمارس دوره السياسي والثقافي والاجتماعي في الحياة العامة بالبلاد يسعى لتحقيق وتأهيل قيم الحرية والشورى والديمقراطية في المجتمع من خلال تعزيز إحترام الدستور وسيادة القانون ، مع التأكيد على مبادي الشفافية والمساءلة في العمل العام ، وحرية الصحافة والأعلام . يؤمن المؤتمر الوطني بأهمية دور الدولة في تكاملها مع المجتمع ،باعتبارها حارسة لقيمه وأمينه على مبادئه وتطوره وتحقيق سلامه الاجتماعي ، دون تغول من اجهزة الدولة علي أجهزة المجتمع بما يحقق المشاركة السياسية بكافة أشكالها ومستوياتها ،وبما يضمن أحترام حقوق الانسان الاساسية المستمدة من الاديان التي أكدها الدستور وتضمنتها المواثيق الدولية . ويؤكد المؤتمر الوطني على أهمية الاسرة باعتبارها نواة المجتمع وركيزته لتحقيق التنمية الشاملة , فيعمل جاهدا لتمكينها من أداء دورها في التنشئة السليمة والقيم الفاضلة عبر مختلف الوسائل لتحقيق المشاركة الفاعلة والايجابية نحو بناء الامة القوية المعتزة بدينها وثقافتها . إن المؤتمر الوطني في حركته السياسية والفكرية إنما ينطلق من رؤية وسطية (وجعلناكم أمة وسطا ) تتفق مع توجهات أغلب السودانيين ، وتقوم على احترام الآخر ونبذ العنف والتطرف ،وتتسم بالاعتدال لتحقيق النهضة السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية .. فالمؤتمر الوطني يمثل الوعاء الذى يتسع للجميع وتنتظم بداخله كل قوى المجتمع الحية كل وفق استعدادته وقدراته دون حجر أو إقصاء ،فهو امتداد أصيل للتيارات الوطنية والاسلامية التي قادت مسيرة التحرر الوطني على مدار تاريخ البلاد السياسي والاجتماعي . ويولي حزب المؤتمر الوطني أهمية خاصة للقطاعات الفاعلة في المجتمع ،فيسعي لتأكيد دور المرأة في الحياة العامة باعتبارها نصف المجتمع ،فهي الام والاخت والابنة ، فيعمل لتفعيل ودعم مكانتها في كافة المحافل السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية ،في توازن تام بين دورها في تربية الاجيال القادمة عبر تماسك الاسرة والمحافظة عليها ، وبين دورها في تنمية المجتمع مع المحافظة علي التقاليد والعادات الايجابية في المجتمع السوداني . ويضع المؤتمر الوطني شباب وطلاب السودان نصب عينيه ، كونهم يمثلون مستقبل البلاد الواعد ,وباعتبارهم النسبة الاكبر في المجتمع ، فيتيح الفرصة لهم في تأكيد ذاتهم وفي اطلاق قدراتهم الابداعية وتقدمهم العلمي ، بل في تولي مختلف المواقع القيادية لترسيخ قيم البذل والعطاء والمسئولية الوطنية ، مما يدفع بقيم الحرية الديمقراطية في الشأن العام . إن المؤتمر الوطني يدرك أن السودان يتمتع بثروات طبيعية وبشرية غير عادية جعلته دوما محل أطماع الغير ، فلابد أن نعمل جميعا لاستغلال هذه الثروات في عدالة تامة لتحقيق التنمية المتوازنة بين أطراف السودان . وبما يؤدي لتحسين ظروف الحياة المعيشية للمواطنين . ويعول المؤتمر الوطني علي انسان السودان كثيرا باعتباره رأس المال الحقيقي ورائد التغيير , فهو الثروة الحقيقية التي لابد من رعايتها وتنميتها والمحافظة عليها بالاستثمار الفاعل فيها عن طريق التعليم والتدريب ورعاية العلماء والمبدعين لتتفجر طاقاتهم وإمكاناتهم بما يكفل تقدم السودان وتحقيق نهضته وتطوره . ويؤكد المؤتمر الوطني أن السياسة الخارجية للبلاد يجب أن تقوم علي تحقيق المصالح الوطنية العليا للبلاد , في إطار من التفاعل الايجابي مع المحيط الاقليمي والدولي علي أساس من التكافؤ والندية بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة ’ بعيدا عن نزعات النفوذ والسيطرة والهيمنة التي تسعى لتحقيق بعض الدوائر الاستعمارية , باعتبار أن تحقيق السلام والامن والاستقرار العالمي مسئولية الجميع من خلال تقوية وتعزيز دور المؤسسات الاقليمية والدولية وإصلاحها بما يخدم مصالح المجتمع الدولي ويدعم التنمية الشاملة والمستدامة في جميع أنحاء العالم . لقد تحقق في السودان خلال الفترة الماضية العديد من الانجازات التي تحكي عن نفسها رغم الحصار الاقتصادي والسياسي علي حكومة الانقاذ ’ ولكن المسيرة ظلت ماضية بحفظ من الله ورعايته , فكانت مسير ة التحديث والبناء السياسي منذ نظام المؤتمرات نحو التحول الديمقراطي والتعددية الحزبية في تدرج ومسئولية تدرك أعباء التغيير وتبعاته ليتحقق دستور البلاد الدائم في 1988 عقب توقيع عدد من اتفاقيات السلام مع عدد من الفصائل الجنوبية المعارضة التي حملت السلاح . لتواصل الانقاذ نهجها في الحوار والتفاوض مع الحركة الشعبية إلي أن تم توقيع إتفاقية السلام الشامل في يناير 2005 وتدخل البلاد بعدها حقبة جديدة بانضمام كل القوى السياسية التي حملت السلاح في وجه الانقاذ الي ركب السلام ، لتتكون حكومة الوحدة الوطنية من مختلف القوي السياسية بالبلاد . ولكن أبت كثير من الدوائر الاستعمارية أن يستقر السودان لتزداد وتيرة العنف والمعارضة المسلحة في دارفور ، وتتعالى أصوات الشرق كل ينادي بنصيبه في ثروات البلاد وسلطانها ، لتعمل حكومة الوحدة الوطنية مجددا لاستيعاب هذه القوى في إطار إتفاقية السلام الشامل ، ليتم توقيع إتفاق أبوجا مع حركة تحرير السودان في غرب البلاد ، وتوقيع اتفاق الشرق مع جبهة الشرق حفاظا علي استقرار البلاد وحقن الدماء وتحقيق السلام الاجتماعي . ورغم ان بعض القوى مازالت تؤجج نيران الفتن وتسكب المزيد من دماء أبناء هذا الشعب وتضيع الكثير من ثرواته وموارده في حرب لا طائلة منها الا أن حكومة الوحدة الوطنية مازالت متمسكة برؤاها الصادقة نحو تحقيق السلام المستدام بين ربوع البلاد المختلفة . أن السلام الذي تحقق في السودان يضع البلاد علي أعتاب نهضة شاملة ، لبناء وطن يسع الجميع ، ويقوم علي العدالة والمساواة والمشاركة والديمقراطية ، والاقتسام العادل للثروات والسلطة ، فإتفاقية السلام الشامل تحمل في طياتها ومضامينها الحلول الشاملة لكل مشاكل البلاد ، بل تشكل إطارا أمثل ونموذجا لتسوية النزاعات والخلافات في العديد من بلدان العالم ذات المشاكل النظيرة .. إننا في المؤتمر الوطني نؤكد بأننا حزب يؤمن بالحريات والمشاركة السياسية والديمقراطية والشفافية في ممارسة العمل العام ، ونؤكد على الدور الايجابي للاديان السماوية في تحقيق النهضة والتقدم والعدالة والمساواة علي قاعدة المواطنة والهوية السودانية في الواجبات والمسئوليات .. والله من وراء القصد وهو يهدي السبيل .
