Hello, and welcome to Desiree Steele's Photography! I have been taking pictures of people and places since I was in high school; nearly 23 years. In the past few years my business has taken off and I am having a blast capturing beautiful smiles, pouts, cries, dance moves, "aha" moments and such. I take pictures for the pure joy of giving back and I have been extremely blessed in the process. My pictures are very organic in nature and I love taking time to capture YOU and YOUR FAMILY. My hopes is that your session will be relaxed and memories will be forever captured. I do not have a set sitting fee, I let that be led by you and what you feel you can afford. My hope is that ALL can have beautiful memories captured through my photography. You can purchase fully edited professional prints through my website or for $75.00 you can purchase a flashdrive of 20 beautiful shots to do with as you please. Anything over the 20 shots will be $2.00 a picture. However, I can not guarantee quality prints unless ordered through my website. I also have a small travel fee of $25.00 for all shoots that I have to travel north of the river(aka Lady Bird Lake) or outside of the Austin city limits. Why do I not charge a typical photographer's fee? Through some difficult situations in my life and my sister having a stroke, I have come to realize the importance that everyone should have beautiful pictures of their family. Pictures are what memories are made of and everyone (no matter what your financial circumstance) should have them and I want to be that person to bring them to you. As you may be able to see from my picture, I take cheering for my daughter very seriously. It was killing me to know that I was missing out on so many memories because no one was taking pictures. I had a good friend (who is an awesome photographer) who would come to a few games a year and shoot pictures for me. Once my daughter started playing in College I wanted to preserve every minute she spent on the court. I started taking pictures myself and sharing them with her teammates. Rami Maki, grew up in Baghdad in 1984, surrounded by an artistic family that encouraged him to travel and pursue his dream of creating a company that reflected his passion. His father and mother are both Ceramic artists and graduated from the Academy of Fine Art in Baghdad. As a child, his upbringing within a liberal and artistic family kept him away from any religious or ethnic attachments, into a more secular and humanistic perspective and life style, believing in the words of the famous Lebanese author "Amin Maalouf": " I am the son of the road, my country is a caravan and my life is the most unexpected of voyages." Rami went to The Music and Ballet School of Baghdad. After the war, his family had to move from country to country until they finally settled in Syria where young Rami was able to nourish his artistic talent. Due to this, Rami was exposed to different cultures and learned how to speak different accents. In Syria where he also published his first big project, his first website in Old Damascus, containing everything historical and old about it. After his long travel, he finally settled in London where he established his company, Microvera. It provides a comprehensive portfolio of online presences for a wide range of clients from individuals such as actors, TV personalities and broadcasters, to small, medium and large companies. For him, Photography is a universal language that transcends all barriers and can be understood by everyone and everywhere. A picture speaks a thousand words, it gives him deeper meaning to love photography even more.
