Domains targeting keyword safe routes to school

Kern Council of Governments is an association of city and county governments primarily created to address regional transportation issues. Its member agencies include the County of Kern and its 11 incorporated cities.

The Safe Routes to School National Partnership is a fast-growing network of organizations working to set goals, best practices, secure funding, and provide educational materials to agencies that implement Safe Routes to School programs.

The TKPK5K is a fun, family-oriented community event that features a series of races including a chip-timed 5k (run or walk), a 1-mile fun run and 1/4 mile youth run. Proceeds from the event fund health, fitness and bike and pedestrian safety activities at five local schools: Takoma Park Elementary, Piney Branch Elementary, East Silver Spring Elementary, Rolling Terrace Elementary and Takoma Park Middle. The tenth annual Takoma Park Safe Routes to School 5K will be held on Sunday, May 6.
