Half our world lies hidden in the depths of the ocean. The Underwater Realm is a series of short films that chronicle five times throughout history when mankind has come into contact with an ancient race of people living beneath the sea.

Kevin Lee resides in Fullerton, California and frequently dives SoCal waters. His adventures, in over 40 countries, include multiple treks to Mt. Everest Base Camp and atop Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest summit. Among his memorable experiences, he fondly recalls a warm hug from Mother Teresa and meeting the Dalai Lama. After learning to scuba dive, Kevin took up underwater photography to share the wonders of the ocean with others. He has dived all Seven Continents, including Antarctica where water temperatures were 29F (-2C). Kevin's images are on permanent display at Chapman University, Orange California, and have been exhibited at various venues such as the Branford House, University of Connecticut, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and other venues. He has been the Los Angeles Underwater Photographic Society (LAUPS) and Orange County Underwater Underwater Photographic Society (OCUPS) Photographer of the Year numerous times. In addition, Kevin's photography has been featured in magazines, newspapers, academic literature and many dive related publications. It is also reminiscent of the After Dark "flying toaster" screen savers. As of November 2006, Breadfish has been viewed 1.96 million times on the official website, and possibly many more on other sites. The cartoon has generated much controversy in online forums over whether the lyrics refer to a "marvelous breadfish" or a "motherless breadfish". The latter name, which is largely believed to be a misunderstanding of the lyrics, is often the preferred understanding of the lyrics, causing disappointment to those who learn the breadfish are "marvelous" instead of "motherless". It has even been the namesake of at least one trivia team.
