Samhati is an organization of and for Bangladeshi women founded in 1984 by Bangladeshi women living in the Washington D.C. area. It is an all-volunteer organization. During the last several years, Samhati has focused its efforts on providing income generating opportunities through adult literacy classes, functional and vocational education and training, leadership building, and services and classes to improve sanitation and health. All our projects support ecological sustainability.
