Jefferson Community College(JCC),a two-year college located in Watertown, in Jefferson County, New York, was chartered in 1961 and was initially accredited in 1969. It is one of the 30 community colleges that make up the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Jefferson offers 17 A.A.S. degree programs, 15 transfer A.A. or A.S. degree programs, and 9 certificate programs. Six degree programs are available entirely online. SUNY Jefferson offers a variety of workshops, seminars, and workforce training opportunities for the community and the Jefferson Higher Education Center partners with several four-year institutions to provide opportunities for community members to earn numerous bachelor’s and master’s degrees locally.
