I started with an old Pentax LX with a 1.4 50mm lens , making experience with friends and family , and then begin to study by himself and continue photographers relief domestically and internationally . Jane Jin Kaisen is a visual artist and filmmaker born in 1980 in Jeju Island South Korea and raised in Denmark. Kaisen employs various mediums including experimental documentary, multi-channel video installation, performative video art, photography, and text. She has especially engaged themes of memory, trauma, migration and translation, often from a gendered and diasporic lens. Attentive to silenced and marginalized histories, her works constitute a wide-ranging inquiry into the effects of coloniality, modernity, war and borders.

The Focused Lens Photography is a company that focuses on capturing the beauty in God's creation. We capture images for individuals, dancers, fine art, commercial editorial, boudoir, nature/ wildlife, lifestyle portraiture, landscape and event photography throughout the Shreveport Bossier City, Louisiana area.

 “Still Real Life” – [with artists Alicia Mordenti and Kari Herer] shows what happens when two ceramic majors from the University of Idaho (BFA’s ’01) collaborate on a shared idea (a year-long dialogue evolving over many visits, e-mails, and phone calls) and end up in a gallery space six months later showing the hard-wrought results.  Their friendship over the many years since college has grown in strength as they both met with the real life challenges of marriage, children, and careers.   The work shows a parallel in direction, impulse, and intent.  Fascination with light works its way into all of the images.  Formal approach to the flat surface they have placed before them to work with, to master (unlike the 3-dimensional world of their youth) mirrors in effort and difficulty their own always-in-motion moving-forward lives.  Flowers and their kids end up as both artist's subject matter; the momentary beauty and celebrated joy offered by these ----each day, and without stop– their content.  Both artists are inspired by their home environments; capturing moments in chaotic fragments with the snapping of a camera’s shutting lens.  No matter the final art medium used, (Herer, using photography – both digital and medium format Polaroids (one-of-a-kinds) and Mordenti, painting from photographs in oil and acrylic on panels and canvas) their combined work stems from that impulsive snap of the fleeting:  the flower that loses its petals far too early; the child that grows up far too quickly.  Both artists realize that “the moment will always trump the thought-over”; the camera’s capturing of chaos in progress the most direct path to the real.  The art image we are left with may be still, but the reality it reflects, the life it tries to show in painted or photographed form – is anything but.

She has been supported by all levels of funding throughout her career and has exhibited nationally and internationally. An active community leader, the founding director of Gallery 44 Center For Contemporary Photography, and a founding member of Tenth Muse Studio, and Artscape. April is currently associate professor of photography at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. She is represented by Katzman Kamen Gallery in Toronto.

I am a mother, a wife, and a photographer... in that order. ;) I love my family first and foremost. I am a jack of many trades, I love creating, everything - from beautiful images, to costumes, to yummy foods. I love my craft closet, (which is full of stuff I can use to make things for you session that will make it that much more interesting) I love my costume and prop collection, I love thrift stores and flea markets, and I love a good sale anywhere. I enjoy reading good long books as well as writing, (although life has seemed to push that pastime to the side for the most part) and I rarely ever watch TV. I enjoy the outdoors and sports, and when I get old I will be be an avid traveler. ;) The sky amazes me and I have recently began taking random photos of it (awesome for overlays)...., I would love to have a second house at the ocean. I have an obsession with dying my hair random colors dependent upon my mood, and lately am rarely seen without a bandana tied around my head. If asked about my favorite color, I would have to say that I love them all (which is reflected throughout the walls of my home) yet I always gravitate toward things that are black. I am inspired in one way or another by everything that I have ever seen or experienced. (good, bad, and ugly) I like to think that I am a very intelligent person, I have an extremely sarcastic sense of humor at times, and I truly enjoy people. I have a very good sense of style, although my clothing choices for myself may not always reflect that as I am often in a tank top and jeans. (That said, you will never catch me dead in "mom" jeans) I drive too fast, and love music....all genres, like in a "My name is Amanda and I must be schizophrenic due to my playlist" kind of way.... I am not a "professionally trained photographer" so I can show you no credentials aside from my portfolio, as I am completely self taught and expand on my creativity and knowledge whenever possible. I suppose we can call me an extremely passionate artist of the lens, eager to capture and create some fantastic images for you. We are each an unique work of art, I am here to make sure your portraits reflect just that. I can produce a perfectly beautiful image of you sooc (straight out of camera), although rarely will I ever be satisfied with leaving it at that. I would like to consider myself extremely versatile in the creativity department. I love to do themed shoots, and can create costumes as well as other items necessary to pull them off. I have an eye for location, and love and appreciate natural light and texture. I am slightly "edgy", and love to think outside of the box. While there is nothing "conservative" about my taste or personality, I am able to mold my creative juices to suit the situation. So, no matter if you are looking to push the boundaries, or stay comfortably, simply, and beautifully artistic I am the photographer for you. I can do it all.
