গল্পকবিতা ডট কম লেখক ও পাঠকের জন্য একটি অনলাইন সামাজিক যোগাযোগের প্লাটর্ফম তৈরীর উদ্যোগ। যেই নবীণ লেখক লিখতে চায়, নিজেকে লেখক হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে চায় - তারা সবসময়ই একটি প্রতিবন্ধকতার মুখোমুখি হয়ে আসছে। সেই প্রতিবন্ধকতাটি হলো “কাগজের স্বল্পতা”। প্রতিষ্ঠিত লেখকদের লেখার ভীরে নবীণ লেখকের লেখা খুঁজে পায়না তার ছাপার জায়গা। দুই একটি ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া সেই লেখাটি হারিয়ে যায় অপেক্ষমান থাকতে থাকতে। নবীণ লেখক হারাতে থাকে তার প্রেরনা। এভাবে অপেক্ষা করতে করতে একসময় উদিয়মান লেখক হারিয়ে যায় সুযোগের অভাবে। এক অদৃশ্য দূর্ভাগ্য বরণ করে নেয় পাঠক সমাজ।বর্তমান তথ্য প্রযুক্তির যুগে এই বাধা অনেকটাই দূর করা যায়। ইন্টারনেট ও ওয়েব টেকনোলজি উন্মুক্ত করেছে হাজার সম্ভাবনার দ্বার, দূর করেছে নানা প্রতিবন্ধকতা। এই প্রযুক্তির ওপর নির্ভর করেই গল্পকবিতা ডট কম তার প্রয়াস নিয়ে উপস্থিত হয়েছে লেখক ও পাঠকের কাছে। গল্পকবিতা ডট কম এর নেই কোন কাগজের স্বল্পতা। সে প্রকাশ করতে পারে অসীম সংখ্যক লেখা। ঠিক তেমনি, পাঠকের জন্যও নেই কোন সীমাবদ্ধতা। বরং রয়েছে যে কোন লেখা যখন খুশি পড়ার স্বাধীনতা।বাংলা সাহিত্য চর্চাকে উৎসাহিত করার জন্য গল্পকবিতা ডট কম এ ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে মাসিক গল্প -কবিতা লেখা প্রতিযোগীতার। প্রতিমাসের প্রথম দিন লেখার বিষয়বস্তু জানিয়ে দেয়া হয়। লেখা জমা নেয়া হয় (অনলাইন ও ডাকযোগে) মাসের ২৫ তম দিন পর্যন্ত।এরপর জমাকৃত লেখাগুলো যাচাই বাছাই করা হয়। তারপর পরবর্তী মাসের প্রথম দিন লেখাগুলো পাঠকদের জন্য উন্মুক্ত করে দেওয়া হয়। পাঠক একটি লেখা পড়ে তাকে ১ -৫ এর মানদন্ডে মূল্যায়ীত করতে পারেন। পাঠক ভোটিং চলে মাসের শেষ পর্যন্ত। পরবর্তী মাসের ১ তারিখ পাঠক ভোটে সর্বোচ্চ মান পাওয়া ২৫ টি গল্প ও ২৫ টি কবিতা পাঠানো হয় বিচারক প্যানেলের কাছে। বিচারক প্যানেল প্রতিটি গল্প ও কবিতা আলাদা আলাদা ভাবে মূল্যায়ন করেন ১-১০ এর মানদন্ডে। বিচারক এর মানের ৭০ শতাংশ ও পাঠকের মানের ৩০ শতাংশ নিয়ে চূড়ান্ত ফলাফল তৈরি করা হয়। গল্প ও কবিতা দুই বিভাগে ৩ জন করে মোট ৬ জনকে প্রতিমাসে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়। উভয় বিভাগেই প্রথম পুরস্কার সনদপত্র ও ১৫০০ টাকার প্রাইজবন্ড, দ্বীতিয় পুরস্কার সনদপত্র ও ১০০০ টাকার প্রাইজবন্ড এবং তৃতীয় পুরস্কার সনদপত্র। পরবর্তী মাসের ১৫ তারিখ পূর্ববর্তী মাসের ফলাফল প্রকাশ করা হয়। মাসিক প্রতিযোগীতা হওয়ায় প্রতি মাসেই চলে এই চক্র।গল্পকবিতা ডট কম এ লেখক পাঠকদের বাড়তি পাওয়া তাদের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ, গল্পকবিতা ডট কম এ সামাজিক যোগাযোগ পোর্টালের সব সুবিধা থাকার কারনে সহজেই মতবিনিময় করতে পারেন লেখক পাঠক। একটি গল্প বা কবিতা পড়ে পাঠক সহজেই জানাতে পারেন তার মতামত; যা লেখক কে করে অণুপ্রাণিত, গঠনমূলক সমালোচনা সমৃদ্ধ করে তার আনাগত লেখাকে। এভাবে লেখক ও পাঠকের যৌথ প্রচেষ্টায় বাংলা সাহিত্য চর্চা হতে থাকে গল্পকবিতা ডট কম এ।
